Vintage Hillsdon Road shops

Looking down Goldsbrough Road to the Hillsdon Road shops and up towards Mt Cootha.   1937 approx.

I am told a small creek ran across Goldsbrough Road near the area of the current courtyard and there was a natural spring at the back of the shops where the carpark is today.  Local children used to catch yabbies there!
Check out the Pauls Milk sign on the building.  The business was owned and operated by local family The Andronicus's.  It was a corner store, haberdashery and the family expanded the products and services and the size of the shops over the years.

Our little Centre has ALOT of history.  If you know more, have any old photo's please let us know!   We would love to collate more vintage photo's and history of the Hillsdon and Goldsbrough Road area.
